This Dolphin Head Officers Sword was made in England by Robert Mole. Imported by Courtney and Tennant charleston South Carolina for Naval Officers. The blade is stamped with the Courtney & Tennant Mark and the Mole Mark in the spine of the sword. The blade is also etched. These swords are extremely rare.
The Imperial photo is of two CSN Naval Officers. R.A. Camus and Asst Master W.P. Fason. The photo was shot early in the war. The Book Confederate Faces, has a photo of these officers in England at the end of the war.
